Red Hot presents PRIDE 50 powered by This is Soho
PRIDE 50 is a photography exhibition by Thomas Knights (Red Hot 100) consisting of 50 portraits of LGBTQ+ people representing 50 years of Pride in the UK.
These are people from the community who have shaped Pride and represent what it is today, including founders and activists such as Ian McKellen, Lisa Power and Peter Tatchell and queer celebrities such as, Olly Alexander, Holly Johnson, Cat Burns, Kae Tempest and Jodie Harsh.
Each image is a striking, high impact portrait that focuses on the subject’s face, with their eyes looking directly at the viewer, inviting them to ask questions. The portraits feature a spontaneous response, from each subject, to the question ‘What does Pride mean to you?’ Accompanying the exhibition is a timeline of key moments from the last 50 years of Pride in the UK.
LAUNCH: Tuesday 28th February - marking the end of LGBT+ History Month.
Time: 6-8 pm press and pr preview & public launch event
