OUR STORY

Born as an exhibition and global movement by fashion photographer and creative director Thomas Knights, Red Hot was created with one mission: to redefine the ginger male stereotype. Knights exhibited 100 portraits and several films that toured New York, London, Sydney, Berlin, and Amsterdam, culminating in the now-iconic Red Hot 100 art book. This body of work put Red Hot on the international stage, while helping to shift perceptions of redheads and amplify visibility for the LGBTQ+ community.

Red Hot is not just a brand, it’s a global movement. Since Red Hot 100, we’ve expanded into print with celebrated calendars and art books, launched apparel, staged exhibitions worldwide, built a huge online community, and raised over $105,000 for charities including Movember, The Terrence Higgins Trust, Elton John AIDS Foundation, Athlete Ally, The Anti-Bullying Alliance, and The Diana Award. To date, we’ve released 4 cult-favourite art books, raised $1.2 million through Kickstarter crowdfunding, and sold over 64,000 calendars and zines.

We’ve always been risk-takers and rebels, pushing past stereotypes and reimagining what a lifestyle platform can be. Now, we’re stepping out of the frame to connect more directly with our fans: with the launch of Club Red Hot in London (drawing 1,500 to the world’s first ginger rave), more real-world events in the pipeline, and an upcoming subscription platform set to launch in 2026. This is only the beginning.

OWN IT

In 2023, we released the Own It calendar, celebrating those who push boundaries and refuse to ask permission to be themselves. Featuring figures like Royal Ballet principal Steven McRae, skater Joe Johnson, gymnast Sam Okojie, and creative Dale K., it inspired anyone struggling with being different to embrace what makes them unique.

RED HOT GALLERY

The Red Hot Gallery opened in Soho, taking centre stage in London’s art scene. Over four months, we showcased PRIDE50 - Thomas Knights’ portrait series celebrating 50 years of Pride - alongside Own It, our 2023 calendar celebrating self-love and empowerment, and RH23, our global nude calendar. The gallery also hosted live music events featuring hot queer talent and panel talks, making Red
Hot a vibrant hub of art, culture, and community in the heart of London.

WALK WITH PRIDE

For the first time, Red Hot marched in London Pride. We gathered a huge team of gingers from across the LGBTQ+ community who stood out in the crowd, walking loud and proud in a joyful celebration of freedom.

10 YEARS OF RED HOT ACT I PROMO FILM

2023 marked Red Hot’s tenth birthday, and we went all out. Red Hot X, our first art book in over seven years, smashed all previous records to become our most successful Kickstarter ever. A global model search brought together brand-new faces for the world’s first-ever ginger male nude art book. Red Hot X sold out quickly and secured its place as a fan-favourite in the Red Hot canon.

Red Hot 2024 is all about voyeurism. This unique POV captures the boys in the act - think paparazzi, fly on the wall, rear window style shots of our models caught red-handed in some of our most provocative photography to date.

For our 2024 nude calendar, we explored the art of voyeurism. Collaborating again with photographers from around the world, this edition revealed a new erotic side of Red Hot.

CLUB RED HOT

The world’s first ginger rave lit up HERE @ Outernet, packing in 1,500 fire-starters for a night that redefined Red Hot. With ginger performers on stage and music from club legends like Jodie Harsh, Bimini, and more, we crashed into London nightlife. In partnership with party provocateurs Little Gay Brother, Club Red Hot became an instant hit, and this is just the beginning. Stay tuned… we’re bringing the rebellion to a city near you.
